What will you do?

H2 Circular Fuel is a start-up company founded in 2017. H2CiF primarily works on the extraction of hydrogen from a solid storage medium using a catalyst or an acid. As a Process (Design) Engineer, you will work closely with the R&D laboratory team in Botlek Rotterdam to design processes, scale up from lab to pilot plant, and prepare engineering packages for various H2CiF expansion projects.

What are your primary responsibilities as a Process (Design) Engineer?

Your primary duties will include:

• Developing process designs and associated documentation.
• Identifying technical risks, developing and evaluating solutions.
• Conducting feasibility studies and executing design projects.
• Preparing engineering packages and toolboxes to accelerate project execution.
• Planning and reporting progress.
• Optimizing operating parameters in collaboration with the R&D team.

What do you bring?

It is important to develop a detailed understanding of the process and possess in-depth knowledge of process engineering and design, preferably in a scale-up environment. You should also have the following qualifications:

• Critical thinking abilities.
• 2-5 years of industry experience.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills.
• Familiarity with document methods and systems like JSTD 16.
• An MSc degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or a similar field.
• Ability to access and review documents produced in the different steps of the V-model.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage a diverse workload with varying deadlines and urgency, and guide less experienced team members.
